AUTUMN CROCUS:

A native of Turkey, I have a line of Colchicum Specious growing down the driveway. It also grows & thrives well in grass & I have planted several up the back, but alas, Peter on the mower has a propensity to cut them off ! There is a white one which is particularly lovely, but with me , it doesn't do as well as this one.
