A Legend

We returned to the Festival Theatre tonight, about 10 feet away from our seats last night! This time it was for Mrs C's birthday present to see Elvis Costello; he was one of her favs when I met her some time ago! This week will see the 40th anniversary of his first single!

Man o man, I remember seeing him on TOTP maybe in '78 and thinking he was so different to anyone else, both his music and image. But he has been releasing records ever since which is a feat in itself!

He was performing just himself and his songs were mixed with life stories, photos and video. Despite probably knowing less than half his songs (we lost track in the 90s) it was a lovely show, his voice just as distinctive as it was back then... I don't think we've been to a show like that before.
