Beauty & The Beast

The title is apt when it comes to describing me & my date today. It has been a long time since I've been to the cinema with so many young children. We had all ages here & it brought it all back how noisy it gets with those under eight.

From early on there were tears with some unnerved by dark opening scenes. There was one child who insisted they wanted to go home virtually all the way through.

Whilst I had a great time with my darling the film wasn't for me. I can't say it is a bad film because I'm sure I'm not its target audience. Definitely more mothers there than fathers. So much for equal parenting.

There was one small irony I picked up on. "SPOILER ALERT" - the Prince isn't as handsome as the beast which leads to a huge anti-climax in my opinion. Of course that may just be me so would welcome a second opinion.

Finally I've never seen closing credits go on for so long. We always stay for the credits as I do need to know who the Best Boy & Key Grips are.
