Another doorstep guest

This Tom Turkey was doing his mating display while begging quite successfully at the glass storm door. The two males are really rather ridiculous with their tandem displays. They walk and twirl with full feathers puffed, side by side followed by the hen who seems to be the main squeeze and all the flock.  We had shelled peanuts today on the step, they didn't seem pleased, but our chipmunks and Tufted Titmice are. 

Tight cough, but no fever, a low grade one plagued me yesterday. I tried to rest and read most of a Peter May book. I'm nervous about any cough, so we shall see how today goes. More resting and reading.

For the Record,
This day came in cloudy with snow forecast. T took a pick axe and shovel to the driveway mess yesterday and we can no use that entrance. The plowman's future employment could be in question.

All hands anxious.
