Galantamine

Quite a funny sort of weather day - one moment all cloudy and wet the next minute lovely blue skies and sunshine .
These mini daffodils have appeared in the garden and give a lovely splash of colour . I learnt today that you can extract galantamine from daffodils - galantimine being a drug that is sometimes used to treat Alzheimer's dementia. I understand some farmers in Wales are growing fields of daffodils to produce galantamine for this purpose.
