Riding out.....

......high winds.....

A New Zealand Praying Mantis looking a little worried as she grips the edges of the petals while the rose is tossed in the wind. She's heavy with eggs which will be laid soon and is praying for a meal. 

In my extra you can see her marking, a blue dot on the inside of her foreleg showing she is an endemic species. Also there's a soft view of her abdomen.

The afternoon light was harsh and the wind challenging, it was just pure luck to have captured anything.

Not much achieved today.....must be Monday......
