Family Day :o)
We managed to shoehorn everyone into the car today and went to Broomhill Sculpture Gardens for the second time this summer.
This time Joel came too and Tess wasn't ill - so it was much more fun. The food's bloody lovely there too. You can't beat a day out without disappointing food in the UK!
;o)
It's the first day we've all had together since the summer holidays started and will be the last too. Richard's got an appointment at the hospital tomorrow (2 whole months after his scan) and then school's back on Wednesday for Tess.
The weather was lovely too and we saw several dragonflies at Broomhill. There's lots of water there and no heavy gardening so the bugs are very happy there. I managed to get my first ever photos of dragonflies and practically skipped back to the carpark with joy.
I then managed to persuade everyone to go for a walk all the way to Woolacombe beach and then back along the sand to Putsborough.
I can't tell you how complete I feel when all five of us are together. The chances of it happening are getting more and more rare, and as we walked along the beach I talked to Gemma about university and to Joel about 6th form college. The time for them to splinter away and start their adult lives is getting closer and closer and I always wonder if this time will be the last.
We still have crazy Tess though :o) She nominated herself in charge of spotting all the bottoms on sculptures today.
