Dutch Palm Trees?

I know the weather is getting milder each year and the earth is warming up, but having palm trees in Holland is something just as likely as encountering the monster of Loch Ness.

Joining a friend on a boat trip I just had to ask him to stop the boat and let me find my camera... I couldn't believe my eyes, but here's living proof.

Exhibit A, I rest my case!

Naturally I talked to others about this phenomenon, and people convinced me we'll even become a wine producing country. (we seem to have some vineyards already in the south they showed me on Google)

What is this world coming to? Are our grandchildren going to live in a sub tropical Scotland ;-)
