This is my catch for the day. A sea cucumber and a sea urchin.
We got the ferry in the morning from the old port of Dubrovnik to Lokrum. This only takes 15 minutes. Lokrum is a very small island with, like the city proper, quite a colourful history. We visited the botanical garden there, and the ruined French fort. Then we looked for a suitable cove to swim from. We found a tiny, very secluded rocky beach between the igneous rocks. The water off Lokrum is the clearest I have seen and we spent about 4 hours, on and off, and snorkeling and diving, looking at colourful fish. I stepped on a sea urchin and still have the remnants of spines in my toe. As revenge I knocked one off its rocky perch and took it ashore, along with it's slimy cucumber friend. I did put them back in the sea, after examination.
We are now in Split, after getting a bus north.
