Number 1

For a brief few months, The Duke has been an only dog. She doesn't seem to have minded this, or pined for my dear departed dogs the way I have. (You can see all 3 of them in the photo frame behind her head!) The calm of a one dog household is soon to be shattered, and as I sit tonight with her cozy on my lap, I wonder if we are doing the right thing!! But I figure there is a lovely big boy who's in kennels tonight who will soon know the comfort and love of a home and a family. How can that be a bad thing??
