Sad Day for London and the World

WEDNESDAY

A sad day for everyone. 

Hats off to the emergency services and our thoughts to the relatives of those killed and injured.

I walked the very spot less that 18 hours before (see yesterday's extra). It was busy with families and visitors taking in the sights and taking selfies against The Eye and Big Ben.  Innocent children excited and enjoying themselves on the bridge. 

There is absolutely nothing that justifies today's events.

Today the area is now under lock-down and buzzing with police, emergency services, helicopters and tv news crews (see extra). I took these photos near Lambeth Bridge, just across the road from the hotel where I am staying.
