On My Street
Lots of rain today, which was great - we need the reservoirs to fill up - plus it washed our car (how does one wash a car when one lives in a flat?), and then late afternoon, the sun came out, and everything looked resplendent. Wandered up to the main square; this man was coming back from his fields, I imagine, with a sickle.
With all this experimentation, I'm feeling confused about what is a good photo... in some ways, this one is awful, but there's something I love about it; maybe it's the rainbows slanting down through the orange trees; maybe it's the innocence of a society where a man can walk, unconcerned, down a street, with a sharp blade in his hand...
So sad about the deaths near Parliament today.
