This is where I stood

One year ago today.

After I took this picture I went to get a takeaway coffee, and remembered that I was doing the exact same thing at the exact same time, at that exact moment.

It's been a harder day than I expected, not so unexpected when you think about it.

I can remember no panic on March 22 2016. Only solidarity, calmness and one particular act of selflessness that I will always remember.

I remember thinking how much I wanted to stand by the people of Brussels and Belgium and that we need more solidarity and cooperation within Europe, not less. Just a shame more people don't agree with me.
