Solidarity & Sympathy
I can think of no other issue this evening other than the dreadful attack at Westminster.
I was in our Parliamentary chamber as the information trickled through and at the moment the Presiding Officer returned to his seat, accompanied by the Parliament's Chief Executive Sir Paul Grice, to suspend proceedings in the midst of a speech from my neighbouring MSP, Kate Forbes.
This is the verbatim account of the moment as now published in the Parliament's Official Rrport. It was absolutely the right decision by the Parliament 's Business Bureau, taken for reasons of solidarity and sympathy.
