Breaking new ground CMC17-Day22

New ground was broken today for a new cornfield. I love the smell of new turned earth and the promise it implies. A tiny, simple seed is planted and a glorious, complex organism emerges! There are so many lessons to learn from this. We "plant seeds" everyday through our actions and contacts with others. It is up to us to be vigilant to plant kindness and compassion to ensure a glorious and positive return.
Today, we buried a precious, 94 year old friend. The seeds of wisdom and kindness he planted within our community and our family helped to shape our lives and will live on. Oh to leave such a legacy!
