A friendly face to greet me on my return to the grounds of Crieff Hydro after my 8k run around the estate which included rain, sleet, snow, hailstones and blazing sunshine. Ah, Scotland!

My friend had to leave at check out, but thanks to my generous in-laws, I didn't, so I lingered over coffee, went for a run, a swim, a sauna, a leisurely lunch at a farm shop near Perth and popped in at my mum and dad's for a chat before driving home in time to allow my lovely husband to get out to triathlon club.
