Watching the Sky
Morning had come. The temperature was dropping like crazy, and the winds were howling and spitting fat snowflakes. It was nothing at all like the mild weather from the day before; a change was coming.
Snow clouds were dark on the horizon as I drove past the rural church with a view of the pretty little tree on the hill. I pulled into the parking lot, jumped out with my camera, and just stood, watching the sky.
My morning photo stops are often brief, and this was no exception: just three minutes of sky drama. The dark snow clouds threatened to overwhelm the little tree, but the light wouldn't let the darkness win. (Go, light, go!)
Here's a song for a dramatic sky show: U2, with Bullet the Blue Sky. This version is from the film Rattle and Hum, with a nod to Jimi Hendrix.
