They've arrived!

My fist sighting of this year's lambs, in a south-facing field at Ardyne - not much of a photo, but the best I could do with a phone, a large wall and a muddy bit of field in between us. As we watched, another batch of sheep was released into the same field, and in among them some more tiny creatures; not knowing much about this sort of thing I wondered if this was their first outing, or if they'd been covered in the red blobs of ownership before they were released.

All in all a cheering sight on a relatively pleasant afternoon - too often I've seen the wee things shivering under leaden skies at this time of year.
