Special treat

True to their word yesterday, Marcia turned up mid-afternoon and immediately set to work in the kitchen. Ronaldo arrived shortly after and went off to stock up on beer. I wasn't allowed to do anything and by the time we went out to choir, the aromas issuing from the kitchen made it difficult to leave. By the time we returned, all was ready, Ronaldo proudly presented the beautiful salad he'd made, Marcia dished up the oxtail casserole, we lit the candles and sat down to a delicious dinner. An amazing gesture on their part, something quite out of the ordinary and special.
