It is still too early in the season for the local fishermen to supplement their income by taking visitors to the spectacular isolated coves and beaches and in comparison with their fishing boats these are very colourful. Our week long holiday has been most enjoyable especially as the weather was mainly warm and sunny after our arrival with constant heavy rain . We have seen many spring flowers and several different birds as we walked along the cliffs, along valleys and in the mountains. I can understand why people are attracted to the area for the sun and beaches but we prefer walking in the countryside so the weather was ideal especially while the vegetation was still not parched by hot summer sun. However it would be idyllic to go in one of these boats and have a swim to cool off on a hot day.
