Dissecting tulips

Students in grade 6 have started a science unit on reproduction and growth. Before they took the flower apart they observed and drew the tulip. After the dissection students labeled and annotated all parts. We then explored the school grounds to find other examples of flowers shapes and colours - perfect spring activity.
