Organising the on call rota for 11 doctors most of who work part time is no easy feat. Duty A is our doctor who does home visits whilst duty B sees folk who need seen on the day once all available appointments are used up. Both also triage patients who need advice, an appointment when they are all used up , and deal with countless queries from relatives, pharmacists and social work. They are tough shifts that often leave you mentally exhausted.
