Mom & Dad Heron On The Nest

This afternoon, thanks to my blip buddy Mary Jo and a tip from blipper Artist Annie, we went out to the local heron rookery.  It was a first for us and a delightful discovery.  Our timing was a bit off, however, and the sun was in the wrong spot for good pictures, so I had to fuss with my blip to get some light into it.  Lesson learned.  We'll definitely visit again earlier in the day when the sun is in a better spot.   

I put a picture of part of the rookery in Extras.  There were at least a dozen pair of herons in the trees.  Pretty impressive sight.
