Roman Wall

Off up to Walltown Crags this morning for a blip walk. Beautiful sunshine and 360 degree clear views. It never ceases to amazes me how all the Romans built all these mile castles, forts and of course the wall! Walltown is a relatively quite spot compared to Housteads, Chesters and Vindolanda. The extra shows the Crags which are part of the Whin Sill rock formation. (The Whin Sill looks like rock waves in the background).
