This Is Truly Silly . . .

. . . and it’s Saturday
 
Our guest bedroom was the nursery of the little girl of family that we bought the house from, so it was painted pink with a coving to – well beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  That was thirteen and a half years ago and it’s been the Pink Room up until NOW!
 
Our eldest moved in for three months some three and a half years ago, and has finally moved out.  So with the room completely empty of everything other than empty wardrobes what better time to change the colour?!?!  What a silly idea.  The cornice should be replaced, or preferably removed altogether, next time perhaps.  Too much work for this time, we just want to get the room inhabitable and back in use so that we can have friends and other family to stay over again.
 
So now we are on the way to having a magnolia bedroom with carefully blended magnolia highlights on the skirting boards, architraves and ceiling, all with a slight hint of pink in places that could have done with three coats rather than two.  It will still be known as the ‘Pink Room’ though!
