The road less travelled

For many years I have driven between Oban and a Fort William very regularly and have always wondered about what was at the end of a wee road off the main road to Fort William between Kentallen and Duror. So I stuck the bike in the back and following my trip to Fort William set off in the dimming light to explore.
Was waylaid by a half standing boathouse on route full of all sorts of interesting stuff. Got back on the bike and on I peddled. Not too far on and was just bowled over by the beautiful bay and the silhouette of a large house through the trees. There were closed gates one way and a danger sign the other way so I chose danger and cycled on for a little. No danger and had the pleasure of some deer for companions. Rode back to the car with a big smile on my face.
The best tonic by far for a week that was too busy by half and a reminder to follow these urges. Hurrah for dark night cycles to beautiful places.
