On a day such as this....

...which was perfectly stunning and so unexpected in March.

From the house, 25 minutes to Fotheringham Bridge, up through Hay Lodge, through the Cemetery out into Rosetta and down to Peebles' other river - 25 minutes.   Walk into town - 20 minutes.   And back home - 25 minutes.

Up the Tweed and down the Cuddy.   My favourite quick walk.   10,000 paces door to door.   And still time for a chat en route with Mike Betts - former Transport Commissioner for Britain, and a noted ornithologist.   So now I know what a siskin is!
