Welsh spiders do it horizontally...

... or so it seems. Do more flies fly up and down than left to right? Are they after the sleepy ones that doze off mid-flight and drop into their web? Or do they only catch the flies that die on the wing? Are they after the VTO flies? These and other questions fill my day...
