Seventy-Five Years
The 75th Anniversary of "The Greatest Raid Of All".
About a dozen of us started in the Cemetery laying wreaths upon the graves of two Naval Ratings who died on the raid but are buried in Falmouth Cemetery, AB Bill Savage VC and MEM Tom Parker.
Then it was down to the Moor for the parade where we formed up and marched to the Prince of Wales Pier for a moving service. Around two dozen wreaths were laid before once more forming up and marching to the Watersports Centre for the reception.
Home by early afternoon I caught up on both yesterday's and today's papers before watching a film with the children and an early night.
