Spring is in the air

Tonight the clocks go forward and already there is a spring in the air.
 
Had a stroll around Bridge of Allan in search of a photo. It was heaving with people for this small wee Victorian spa town is turning into a popular tourist venue even on a late March afternoon.
 
More worrying though is the number of shops closing to be replaced by eateries, coffee houses, bars and hairdressers.
 
One shop owner, who had run an upmarket dress shop, which will soon become Costa Coffee, told me that in America shopping malls are closing and it is only a matter of time before we see the same thing happening here.
 
And it filters down to small towns like ours.
 
 
“It was either Costa Coffee or another charity shop,” he said.
 
   
And we all know the reason why: we are shopping online.
