Glencorse
Walking today in the Pentland Hills. The weather was wonderful, sunshine with some white cloud, and a bit of a wind, which kept us cool. Started near the Rangers' Station at Harlaw and walked towards Glencorse Reservoir. My picture is taken looking down on it. Then headed upwards over the hills to Bonaly Reservoir, on the way one of our party rescued a sheep that was stuck in a fence and bleating pitifully. We then passed Torduff Reservoir and we had some wonderful views of Edinburgh, Arthur's Seat, the River Forth and the Bridges as well as the city itself. Came round by Clubbiedean and Wester Kinleith and back to our start. We did 8.6 very pleasant miles.
While walking I had a call from E, who had forgotten her essay for school and wondered if we could get it for her, as she had no key. However, we were already away on the road, so she had to take her punishment.
Hope you all had a great day too.
