At the edge of the recently felled Bogallan Wood, by Istiane.
Had a new experience today. One that many folk looking in will be familiar with, and most likely one that none of us would want to repeat... but will.
Yesterday afternoon, whilst eating a bit of chocolate, I found something very hard in it. Investigation soon revealed it was a bit of tooth. Mine. Considered waiting until the already booked checkup next week, but better not. Was fortunate to get a cancelled appointment first thing this morning, before work. Went in expecting some extended drilling and filling, and came out a short while later, a bit numb, and with shock symptoms. Oh, and a tooth less*. My first ever extraction. Please excuse the language (and pun), but it was bloody horrible experience. And supposedly that was one of the easiest of molars (an upper wisdom tooth) to remove. It was rapidly done, and as it wasn't ever making contact with the matching lower tooth, won't be a big loss.
* - better than being toothless, and morbid curiosity led me to take the remains with me. Was tempted to use it for this day's Blip, but it is rather gruesome. After cleaning it up a bit, discovered there's some bone attached to the roots! Think it may be advisable to chew gently on things for a few months...
