Soccer Saturday

It was a lovely sunny soccer Saturday - not often I get to say that! Leo played a 9 aside friendly against a newly formed all girls team out at Kingsteignton.

It was only the third game for the girls as they have come together recently and hope to enter the league next season.

It was comical to watch in terms of height as the girls were under 12s and the boys under 10s. Those 2 years are clearly when a lot of shooting up occurs as the girls were like Amazons in comparison to our tiny boys. There was a real mismatch between our smallest lad and their tallest girl as things were header height for him and volley height for her!

It ended up 10-2 to us which was a real shame for them as they actually look like they will be a good side. And they were so supportive of each other - particularly their poor goalie who looked rather dispirited at the end.
