Middle Peak Quarry

Fantastic weather today. Played golf, then home to cut the lawn before taking the mower to be serviced up at Wirksworth. Why do I wait until the mowing season starts again before taking the mower for a service? its sat there for all winter and now it will be 2 to 3 weeks before I get it back.

Whilst up at Wirksworth I took a wander for inspiration for a blip. The disused quarry did the trick. Its not visible like this from any road but when you walk to its edge and look at the size of the hole you wonder what will happen to it. Its been closed since 2005 and nature has made little progress to claim it back yet.
