Elegant Doorway...

... on Rue des Franc Bourgeois (#31) in the Marais district of Paris.  We were on our way to an exhibition on Venice at the Musée Cognacq-Jay, which focused on the intriguing theme of carnival time in the 18th century (entitled Sérenissime). It was relatively small, but interesting, with high-quality works (by Guardi and Canaletto among others).
