A sunny walk in the Clyde Valley. This is the gatehouse of Maudslie Castle, and as was quite common, the gate house was designed to look like a miniature of the Great House. The castle is long demolished. Another very similar house, near this one, was taken stone by stone to Japan and rebuilt.
