Snow geese on parade

It is unquestionably spring! We are spending the weekend in the Finger Lakes , and today  were treated to very rainy weather most  of the day . However crummy the weather was,  being treated  to the sight  of  large flocks of snow geese  in the fields and above the fields and flying from one field to the next... while we traipsed between the lakes was pretty cool. I have only seen them fly over once, usually it's the flocks of Canada geese you see around here. And I thought you had to go to Delaware in October to see migrating snow geese! Who knew they stopped over for some wine - I mean corn - in the Finger Lakes.
