LOOK WHAT THE SUNSHINE.....

... brought out to play!!

On the way back home detoured to a new spot along the mighty Nepean River. 

It was a stunning day after our very wet month, sunny and a warm 30 deg C. This spot is a small picnic point, and with the river levels still way up there was obviously good feed in the shallows.

Found this Pelican (in Flickr) heading off after having a good feed along the edges. You can see the mud stain on the foliage over the river, shows how high the river has been up. 

Then, whooska, in flies our friend the kingfisher and lodges for a quick moment on this sheoak tree unfortunately slightly obscured by the ferns and in a shadow, but okay and there long enough to say hello. 

Will be going back here as there was quite a bit of activity generally.
