Just what a flowering currant is doing in a 'natural wood'I don't know but it is in full bloom, just by the entrance . There are several of these shrubs in the same place,so I expect someone planted them when the ground was made into a public area . The Braid Burn runs through the wood , with bird life to be seen on it.
