Settling into Sevilla

Our first full day in Sevilla. Started with a visit to the art gallery which basically took us through a history of painting from medieval times to the early part of last century. A reminder that the lines leading to modern art go back a long way. There was no charge for entry because we were European citizens - not much longer before our exclusion begins.

We returned alomg the river and its graffiti decorated walkway into the old town and its warren of streets. Every so often there would be a bar with a hubbub of noise full of folk jabbering away over a glass of beer and putting the world to rights. It seemed a fine thing to do on a Sunday afternoon.

A float was being returned to a church as we passed by. It was fabulously ornate. Seville is famous for these ,floats and their processions around Holy Week which will happen in April this year.

We completed our settling in with a long lunch at a nearly restaurant. Getting to like the place.
