Mothering Sunday
Look who's skulking behind the Lenten Lilies?! I rather liked this effect. The garden was glorious this morning. The daffodils have really taken off this year. The hellebores are blooming, the anemones are emerging and even the hyacinths have been doing their thing. Magnolias have erupted in gardens around us these last few days.
George and Kat came to see us at midday and wish me a Happy Mothering Sunday. They brought me gluten free cupcakes, a crystal candle holder, a bottle of Prosecco and a lovely card. We sat in the conservatory and drank tea, before they left to go to the cinema to watch Beauty and the Beast.
I took Basil up the Hathern Road for a walk this afternoon, stopping off a the cafe en route. Oakley Grange Farm is a little exposed and the wind still had a keen edge. Warmer in our garden where it's more sheltered. I enjoyed my two gluten free cheese scones though.
Trying to catch up with the day now that the clocks have gone forward.
