Red Squirrrel Stocking Up

There have been a few days when I was out of bird food but the squirrels kept returning and roaming from feeder to feeder, always hopeful. This morning their faith was rewarded as I filled the feeders yesterday evening.
In Britain it's Mother's Day so I was thinking of my mum who died a few years back. In general she thought squirrels were all too much like rats for her.  Mind you, they were grey squirrels she saw. I'm sure she'd have appreciated the cuteness of a small red squirrel stocking up in case the food source comes to a sudden end!
