Woman of Vieques

I walked over to this house today for a derelict picture thinking it would be empty as it has been before but it wasn't. This woman and her husband own this house, the one next door that houses the thrift shop and one other. They were here visiting the house with their daughter and granddaughter. The father, in the extra, grew up here and his father worked on the pineapple plantations. The Navy confiscated the pineapple fields and used Vieques for bombing practice until 2003 or so. They told me this house, and the others were in the French style, similar to houses found on Martinique and Guadeloupe.
