Turkey Tail Mushrooms
I guess these are pretty common the world over...(trametes versicolor) they grow on dead trees in the forest..and look like the varied-color tails of wild turkeys. But I didn"t know what they were until Rene pointed them out yesterday. Thought to boost immunity in cancer patients, there are lots of them packaged for use and bought over the counter. ...some people chew them as gum. I think they are lovely. I liked the way the mushroom fungus grew around the twig.
