Wild seas
It's been a very wild day on Orkney today. The winds were gale force all day and we spent our time trying to keep ourselves, our cameras and tripods off the ground. Very hard work but some great views. We all ended up encrusted with salt. All tripods have had showers tonight and I've just finished washing the filters.
I hope that this image gives some impression of the grandeur and power of the sea. The land mass is Hoy which we will visit by ferry tomorrow. The forecast isn't brilliant but improves as the day goes on. We may not be able to walk to the Old Man if the winds stay high.
Another early night is in order. We started at 0530 this morning with another dawn shoot at the Rings of Brodgar.
