The current shawl, and a 'yarn spinner', made by a friend.  You put a ball or cone of yarn on it, and when you pull the yarn, it turns around.  Keeps the yarn off the floor and helps prevent tangling.
A day spent driving home from Edinburgh.  We paused at Broxden Services in Perth to fill up, but there was such a queue we went on to Pitlochry.  There we had an unexpected conversation with the forecourt attendant about Douglas Adams and P G Wodehouse.  Then ten miles later, we realised that we had gone the wrong way and were heading back to Perth.  Well ya gotta laugh - we certainly did!
