On the edge

Sometimes I wish the dog displayed a little more caution, but in fact there is none in evidence here.
  
A difficult start to the day for all of us as Mum had been awake and pacing around on and off (followed by Dad) from about 1am.  She was loudly distressed when he prevented her from going into our bedrooms or attempting stairs...which meant a very disturbed night for the entire family, and a sleepless one for them. Dad eventually took her downstairs at around 6am where she fell asleep just as the rest of the household got up to go to college/work.

This is happening frequently now, and Dad lives in a fog of exhaustion.
