What a day! Mrs M & I got Finn and our bikes packed in the car to go to Nasby for a ride today. When we got there a sign said that the fire danger in the forest was EXTREME and FORREST CLOSED-No Entry. Shame.
So instead we headed to St Bathans for a look around. In St Bathans there are amazing hills that have eroded from years of goldmining. The lake there is beautiful and Finn couldnt hold back any longer. He jumped straight in and was as happy as Larry. He loves his swimming now.
In winter the lake freezes over but in summer the area gets extremely hot, as you can tell from the baked earth. As we walked through Mrs M had an intense urge to put on moisturizer, strange really.
