Beattock below

After a longer walk than planned because of emergency forestry work that closed the road round to our planned start at Potburn in the Ettrick valley, we were actually happy to see Beattock lit up as the sun broke through a bank of rainclouds.

The rain hit just as we came out from under the M74 near where we had left the car.
