Blackboard Manifesto.
Good news - my friend Nicole who said on the 10/8/12 (see blip) that she would be returning home to SA is still here. She has postponed her trip home because she has a fabulous mixed media exhibition running at Ig:Lu (19 Church Street Inverness). I was lucky enough to spend some time with her there today and loved the exhibition, - cathartic, evocative, inspirational: a wee bit emotional I was.
So the blip - this is me and a self portrait (as invited by the artist). On the 'blackboard is the line I will not be good anymore' written out over and over. The piece is called Blackboard Manifesto.
"Gain instant freedom from the constraints of your own beliefs, those of your family, friends , employers and the perceived demands of the whole world.
PHOTOGRAPH YOURSELF HERE AND NOW
Strike a defiant pose and send it to iwillnotbegood@nicoleshaer.com
Your attitude will not be held against you."
What can I say - worked for me! Great exhibition, if you're passing, pop in.
Before I sign off - been a long day, just home hence the late blip. Catch up with journals tomorrow - looking forward to it.
